Terms of Use
Unjunk is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
Read it here: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula
The terms below supplement Apple’s Standard EULA with information specific to Unjunk and its subscription. Where the two conflict, Apple’s Standard EULA governs.
These terms form an agreement between you and Arnav Taduvayi (“we”, “us”) covering your use of the Unjunk iOS app. By downloading or using Unjunk, you accept them.
1. Licence
Your licence to use Unjunk is the Apple Standard EULA linked above. In summary, it grants you a non-transferable licence to use the app on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service, and prohibits reverse engineering, redistribution, and use in violation of applicable law.
2. Unjunk Pro subscription
Unjunk is free to download and the free plan is a complete product: scanning, every category, every size badge, sorting, the swipe deck and the statistics screen cost nothing, and marking items for deletion is never limited. What the free plan limits is how many marked items are actually removed from your library — twenty, for the life of the install. Unjunk Pro lifts that limit and unlocks video compression and Live Photo conversion. It is sold as an auto-renewing subscription in the following plans:
| Plan | Length | Price | Introductory offer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unjunk Pro Weekly | 1 week | $4.99 / week | 3-day free trial |
| Unjunk Pro Yearly | 1 year | $24.99 / year | 3-day free trial |
Both plans buy the same Unjunk Pro; the only difference is the billing period. Prices are shown in US dollars and may vary by region and over time. The price displayed in the App Store at the moment of purchase is the price that applies.
Billing, renewal and cancellation
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the rate then in effect for your plan.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your device, or at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. Access to Pro features continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Free trial
Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion of it is forfeited if you purchase a subscription during the trial period. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription begins and the plan price is charged.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service, and we cannot issue them directly. Requests can be made at reportaproblem.apple.com.
3. Deleting your media — your responsibility
Unjunk can permanently remove photos and videos from your device. You are responsible for what you choose to delete.
- Unjunk never deletes anything without an explicit confirmation step from you.
- Deletions are performed through iOS and are routed to Recently Deleted, where the system retains them for 30 days before permanent removal. Recovering an item within that window is done in the Photos app.
- If your photo library syncs with iCloud Photos or another service, a deletion may propagate to your other devices. That behaviour is controlled by iOS and your iCloud settings, not by Unjunk.
- We strongly recommend keeping a current backup of anything you cannot replace before using any cleanup tool, including this one.
4. Storage figures are estimates
Storage totals shown in Unjunk are the summed size of the original files it has measured. They are not a guarantee of how many bytes will be freed on your device. With iCloud Photos and Optimise iPhone Storage enabled, a full-resolution original may live in iCloud while a smaller version sits on the device, so deleting it frees less local space than the original’s size. Where a file’s size cannot be read, Unjunk says so rather than counting it as zero.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the app; to circumvent or tamper with its subscription or entitlement checks; or to use it in any way that violates applicable law or the App Store Terms of Service.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unjunk is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its analysis will correctly identify every duplicate, blurred, or unwanted item.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, media, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app — including the loss of photos or videos deleted through the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of liability for certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.
8. Apple
Apple is not a party to these supplemental terms and has no obligation to furnish maintenance or support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you. Any claim relating to the app’s possession or use is our responsibility, not Apple’s, to the extent required by the App Store Terms of Service.
9. Privacy
Unjunk analyses your media on your device and transmits nothing about your photos or videos. See the Privacy Policy for the full statement.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always posted at this address with the date it took effect. Continuing to use the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
